Hi Kikka
My visits there were short but enough to see some amazing things there. Singapore is a nice place, lots of expats, English widely spoken, nice variety of oriental food & country is very clean. These are the few things i noticed about this wonderful place. :thanks:

Your best bet is to visit the Singapore forum and go through some of the posts that give you very good information.

This link may help to give you a rough idea.

Lots to see and do there. ;)
Hope you will like it there and enjoy your time there.. :)

Hi Francesca, I moved to SG recently. I moved from Bangalore, India. The first thing that struck me is how well organized SG is. SG is not very big but everything is well planned. SG's climate is hot and humid. There are no cool days. Most places are crowded, people are very polite and busy. Streets are clean. Singaporeans keep to themselves. In the MRT (Metro), almost everyone will be tapping away on their phones. MRT connects all parts of SG and is very good, mostly on time.

Housing is kinda expensive but not unreasonable. It is difficult to bring your pet to SG. I left my dog at my dad's care in India. Overall, SG is a very happening place. I feel lonely here but it's probably because I haven't been here long enough to make friends. Good luck for your move.

Dear all,

Thank you very much for the info! I like S'pore every day more! I hope to come soon. I am only afraid about my little dog named Rocco. I hoped to bring it with  me!

I would advise against bringing Rocco. How long is the flight from Italy? In case you do decide to bring him, please go through the following link -

Dear Tanjong,

The flight is about 12 hours, That is one of the reason I Think Rocco should stay in Italy.
Thank you very much for the info they are very important for me.
Have a great  day
