I have appreciated all the advice and help everyone on here has given me, unfortunately our moving company has said opposite on the most important area...my girls toys anything animal shaped won't be shipped. Meaning stuffed animals and pretty much all of my 10 month old's toys.

Is it worth my family to Jeddah than when my husband's contract is for only one year at a time with 2 years confirmed work. We also still don't know if we are getting a furnished or unfurnished place and whether his company will ship to the next destination from the U.S. or not. We will either be going to Dubai or Munich next.

Is it worth moving a almost 4 year old and the almost 1 year old for all this hassle? Though not being with their dad/husband for all this time would certainly be very difficult.

Advice? Anything?

Why won't the shipping company ship them? My shipping company (albeit from the UK) shipped all of my son's soft toys, no exception.

Sounds like an odd rule...

On a personal level - two years is a long time to be apart even with regular flights to visit although that being said, my wife and I were apart for two year before we were married (without flights!).

oh, I think 2 years is quite a long time..

since you are moving to jeddah, there are tons of malls here, maybe you don't have to bring all the toys... you can get new ones!

Thanks - Not sure why I get different information than you guys but hey it seems to be the norm.

j.echo my oldest loves her stuffed animals and they are her "friends" buying new ones wouldn't solve the issue. I think we are going to go ahead and ship them & the ones that I don't want to possibly lose I will leave with family here. I will also have her carry her "favorites" on the plane with her.
