Good point. We found our 2nd house just by driving round and looking for the hand written "elado" signs on A4 pieces of paper in windows. There are far more properties actually available than are commercially advertised.

Another keyword to look for is "alberlet". Originally "sublet", but people use it as a synonym for "kiado".
"Elado" means "for sale", and it's not even specific to real estate, just like in English.
