Hi Folks,

I would like to know job potential on Software testing engineer.

Present i am working as Test lead and 6 years of experience in Software testing.

I think you would have no luck finding a job in your field of expertise.

You need to get a visa first so I suggest you check on the NZ Govt immigration website to see what sort of people they arem looking for and if you qualify for a visa. There is a points system which you need to pass before you can apply for a visa.

So that i was asking this question. If there is no jobs on Software tetsing, No use to come and search job in new zealand.

There are many job opportunities advertised for test analysts.

Go to:

trademe.co.nz/jobs or
seek.co.nz or
jobs.govt.nz

and search on "tester" or "test analyst"

You can also check the larger recruiting companies in IT such as

hays.com (select NZ as the location)
talent2.com (select NZ as the location)
beyondrecruitment.co.nz
absoluteit.co.nz

Many of the listings are duplicated, however, on the various job or recruiter sites, so the total number of openings may be just a fraction of what you may see.

Once you arrive, if you are a permanent resident, it will be easier for you to be taken seriously as a job seeker.
