Hi all,

Are there any international banks in Libya, e.g. HSBC? or just only local banks!

BNP Parisbas have several branches in Tripoli. Their ATM's never work...

No, I mean that BNP is the only Western bank present in Libya -as far as I know. I have no idea why their ATM's never work. I use banks here for their ATM's and changing money, that's all.

HSBC, Standard Chartered, Citibank or any of the other "developing markets" western banks are not present in Libya.

Aman Bank' ATM machines are usually working.

This Bank have a lot of it around the town and some mobile branches (installed on some good looking vans called "Aman Bank on wheels") with ATM machines.
