Hello!

I am currently still studying in NTU, Singapore and I am doing a project on Myanmese/Burmese people living in Singapore and I would appreciate any help from you guys in regards to how they live and whether it is any different from Singaporeans.

To start of, I have a couple of Questions =)
1)Where do you normally frequent in Singapore? Why?
2)What is your occupation?
3)Do you send any money back to Myanmar/Burma?
4)If so, how do you go about doing so? Is there a reason why you chose this method?

Any other interesting facts would help a great deal.

Thanks in advance,
Eugene

ok general ans...
Quite a no. of Myanmar already in Singapore since 80's...
If you want to find them you should go to City Hall MRT, Pennisula Plaza.
Or Toa Payoh Temple on weekends.
They can't remit moeny officially in old days so they use some other way of remitting. You can find out more if you have close Burmese friend. Not difficult to find in your Uni though.
Or you can find out in Pennisula Plaza...
Good luck

Christine
