Joinig Riyadh on 28 Ramadan, is it possible to go for umrah?

Assalamoalaikum and Ramadan Mubarak to all.

I will be coming to Kingdom on 28 Ramadan with my family in sha ALLAH. We want to perform Umrah in Ramadan or atleast eid holidays (starting 30 Ramadan/1st Shawwal/8th August according to my employer). My question is
1. Is it possible to travel from Riyadh to Makkah/Madina without Iqama? If yes  how?

2. If not, how long does it take to get Iqama?

3. Does it make any difference in Iqama process if someone already worked in Kingdom & left on FINAL EXIT, then coming back after 5 yrs?

4. The driving lisence on previous Iqama(valid 2014) remains valid or have to get a new one?

Your practical advice will be appreciated.

I wouldn't recommend it, but check with your employer to see if your passports will due . You can take a plane, car, or bus.

I think you can use your driver's license as an ID if it is from Saudi and valid

2. If not, how long does it take to get Iqama?

It depends

3. Does it make any difference in Iqama process if someone already worked in Kingdom & left on FINAL EXIT, then coming back after 5 yrs?

I don't think so, because they already gave you a visa

4. The driving lisence on previous Iqama(valid 2014) remains valid or have to get a new one?

I think it is still valid since the the Iqama number is the same.

1) Sure, why not. have someone drive you
2)its taken 5 weeks for mine to get renewed, ramadan messes the whole system up

4)Nope. if your DL doesnt match your current iqama it is illegal. they have to match.  i had the same issue

They are busy praying, while not at work. Don't you get it? Ramadan? Praying? Not Working?

Can't wait till the Eid holidays to get over, for the whole system to get back to normal.
