Pretty much the same here, Egyptian Coptics are mostly Orthodox like in Romania. We have the same tradition here about making a cake, that is rounded and have boiled eggs in the middle, you have this also in Romania, but we don't have the shape of the cozonac.
Here is Egypt, Monday morning, they eat a kind of very salted fishes, green vegetables, and the colored eggs, which I think came way back from the pharaonic era.
The only difference is that we don't drink tuica here, and I miss it
