To establish a company in Turkey apply to the relevant trade registry offices with the required documents. The company becomes a “legal entity” following its registration with the trade registry. Based on the type of business the process & taxes may vary. The Turkish Embassy, the British Chamber of Commerce Turkey (BCCT), The Turkish British chamber of Commerce and Industry (TBCCI) & sometimes your own embassies & consulates tend to have lots of info & guidance on matters of international trade & business.

* Be sure to employ the services of a good legal advisor that knows company laws in Turkey and has previously helped ex-pats set up successful businesses.

Some informations about Turkey that you should keep on your mind:
1- There are more than 2,5 million unemployed in Turkey (this is offical number, real is much more)
2- Turkey is one of the countries which have most cheapest manpower. So producing something in here is generally more cheaper than the other countries. Well, If you are talking about China, it s ok othervise no chance to produce low cost product in other part of the world. Of course there are some exceptions.
3-Textile marketing in Turkey is the 3rd biggest textile market in the world. So it wont be clever movement to import clothes from anywhere to here. But if you are at the other 1st or 2nd one it may change :) We have saying for this sittuations; bozaciya boza satmak :)
4-I read carpenter above, To many places we have famous for their traditional wooden things. I advise you to think twice about it.
5-Cell phone and etc, came here from eastern part with illegal ways. They sell them half of normal price.
6-Lastly about agricultural business; Israel is monopoly in Turkey like all over the world. I guess they know agricultural things very well. I m not sure.

I dont want to encourage to anybody but It is not easy to making business in Turkey. I m sure there is nowhere in the world can earn money easy. But I thought you should consider those things before acting to do something. anyway if someone can get succes let me know. :) I can be a partner.  Good luck everybody.

I just wanted to know what you meant by monopoly of Israel.

Do you mean that it wont be possible to start a small to medium sized agricultural business in Turkey, because of the competition.

I mean does Israel control large vasts of lands and businesses of the agricultural sector?

Please explain

Thanks

Yes they do. Agricultural business, seed, plant etc imported and developed by Israel's company especially in south part of Turkey. I m not specialist nor producer. I just have an information from my friends and news. Thats all.

Hey Fabi0Alexandre,

I don't know any Lawyers here personally. What most people do is migrate here & find them by referal or hire them based on their portfolio. Most lawyers advertise their expertise & experience in order to attract clients. So it's a good idea to hire a lawyer that specialises in your area of business, eg manufacturing, import, export, or whatever. ;)

Mr. Dilawar, Asalamoalakum,

I have read your post. Brother are you still in Turkey and have you set up you business successfully? Then please guide me as I also want to set up a business in Turkey on Bursa side.
Thanks

Chris

Hi oldlahore,

Please note that this an old thread (2014), you might not receive a response since most of those who participated on this topic have been inactive since. I suggest you to start a new topic on the Turkey forum.

Thank you

Chris
