Naive in heart & mind? 27 yr old Australian looking to live in France

all roads lead to paris...

evening to one and all

at the risk of sounding rude pleasre forgive my direct enquiry, but i think perhaps sometimes things are better phrased in such a way
i am twenty seven, male
have an undergraduate degree in psych from the university of adelaide, currently studying neuroscience at the same institution
and without going into the oddities of it have worked in the graphic arts industry for around eight to nine years

at the end of my current degree it is my dream to end it all here and begin a life in france
to begin with honestly i care not where it is
or (and i know i am opening myself up to critique here) what i do for employment to begin with

so my humble question to all willing to so provide, is what advice they would give as to set those wheels in motion?

i have travelled abroad so are aware of some of the primaries
and regrettably my only french heritage is from my great great grandmother so i do not think that is a viable route
i currently do not speak french outside of the 'very' bare rudimentary verse i learnt many years ago and am aware that once there i would have to work double...no triple time to learn the language with haste

so there it is
in all its highly monochomatic inelegance

so let the orators speak their mind

respectfully

Read the information on this site about visas. Ask your employers/college/friends about how easy it would be to find work in your field in Australia with a French qualification, and how many jobs you would be offered if you don't speak English.

Then ask yourself why the French would welcome you.
