Zidan, is your information based upon first hand experience in Malta?

I ask because according to your profile you are in Poland.
You have also stated that you are going to settle in Tunisia and you also post on the Tunisia and Morocco boards. Yet, you also state you are going to move to Malta :/

I am having difficulty in understanding how you can give so much advice about Malta when you don't say that you have ever lived here.

Of course, you may have changed your mind about your intentions to settle elsewhere and if I am wrong, I apologise but could you make your experiences clearer perhaps and thus remove all doubt which, in turn, would make your advice more credible?

If however, you are posting advice on this board and have never been to Malta, then that could make your advice, at the least risky and not to be heeded or at worst, dangerous.

Thanks :)

GianC. Have you seen this?

and for Mater Dei see this:

GianC:  If your Orthopaedic surgery need is urgent then I suggest you go private i.e. St James Hospital as per previous comment. The consultants/surgeons at the Mater Dei are very thorough but you could wait for up to 8 months for an initial appointment after being referred to Mater Dei by a Poly Clinic or private doctor. The only other way to speed up the process at Mater Dei is to be admitted via Accident & Emergencies

I think I mentioned the phone number and how difficult can it be for a person to just call and confirm if it is a doctor's office or a slaughter house. Just trying to help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You haven't answered my questions have you?
And I quote your own post on another board (India) dated 13.08.2013

Hi,
I am in Poland now and I am interested to visit Pondicherry and I am looking to rent a villa or apartment in a good locality.
I am willing to pay around 300 US dollars per month.
I will be there this winter hopefully.
My phone number is: 0048 537 137 406.
Thanks
Zidan

The number you quoted for the Dr Sultana is the main number for Da Vinci Hospital and there is no consultant Dr Sultana at that hospital that you suggest.

I think you are not who you are wanting to appear to be.
I don't think you are in Malta and I don't think that you have any experience of Malta. Why are you suggesting doctors and implying that you know them when it seems you do not?
Did you get that from a directory?
I think that you are playing some sort of game.
Are you a transcendental traveller?
And who is really your Maltese counsellor whose advice you quoted?

Dr Anthony Bernard St. James Hospital. He has a clinic in Sliema and Zabbar on a Tuesday and Burrmurad on a Thursday. Best to phone the hospital to confirm times and location.
He is a highly reccommended, family friend.

GianC

First of all, thanks to everyone for your feedback.

I want to stress that I am looking for a consultant no a surgeon.

As from your replies it looks that orthopedic in St. James Hospital is the most recommended.

But have anyone had direct experiences?

Elenauk

I was advised that the best orthopaedic consultant in Malta is Dr. Joseph Borg (Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon). He sees patients in St Annes clinic Birkirkara and St James Hospital Sliema. He came to Malta from the UK about 1.5 years ago. Unfortunately it's extremely difficult to get an appointment with him. But if your case is urgent he might be able to see you earlier but for this it is better to call St Annes. As for my experience I had an appointment with him few weeks ago and he seemed to be reasonable but my case was easy...

I did come this across...

Dr. Sciberras Carmel Orthopaedic Surgery
Address:   Rotunda Pharmacy, Mosta, Malta
  Tel:  +356 21 4111 197
  Specialism:   Orthopaedic Surgery

Hi GianC :)
could you share your experience about orthopedic services on Malta?
I am currently looking for help in this area, would be nice if you could give me some tips if you finally managed with the issue.
Thanks a lot.

You are asking a question on a post from 2013 so unlikely to get a reply from the person you asked.
You need to start a new thread on this subject.
