CT scan mater dei

Post new topic

Gooner75

Hi,
Does anyone know how much a CT scan costs at Mater Dei hospital please?
Thank you,
Leigh.

I enquired in the last week at Saint James hospital and it was around 600 for the scan, it will be approximately same at mater dei as well if you are not registered and paying taxes. If you have a work permit and paying taxes it’s free of cost

Gooner75

Thanks for reply... Registered for what exactly?

Are you retired or employed?

Gooner75

It's for my Dad. A pensioner from UK, never worked here.

If your father applied for a certificate of health entitlement using the S1 he should have full cover for health.

Gooner75

Yes he has that, though he has been told he has to pay for the scan?

As far as I am aware if you have the Certificate of Health Entitlement via the S1 route, you are covered for everything here and also full NHS cover if visiting the UK and even elective surgery back in the UK if you wish.
The cover with the Reciprocal Health Agreement does not give this.
