Traveling to England with Permesso di Soggiorno per coesione familiare

Post new topic

GRenzo

Hello, I'm an American recently married to an Italian/UK citizen planning to apply for a Permesso di Soggiorno per coesione familiare. We plan on living in Italy but also traveling to England often to visit family and for his business. Will this be possible for me with just the PDS or will I need a visa? Also, how long generally does the process take once I have applied for the PDS? Appreciate any information! I've tried to research myself but there doesn't seem to be much on the matter... Thanks in advance! :)

Miss Lara

Hi GRenzo,
getting the soggiorno depends on where and what comune you live in but I guess it's maximum is 3 months and like I said it depends on where you are.Travelling to the UK you will need a visa, visit http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/ for more info.
