Hello,

I have Iranian passport and am construction engineer. I would like to come to Norway as Skilled Worker. You are aware that current government of Norway has strict regulations for immigration, which has made me pessimistic. I couldn´t find any updated statistic for recent months. Could you please tell me, whether still skilled workers can come to Norway or many of them get rejected? Is there any statistic to show increase/decrease compared with previous times?

Patiently looking forward your reply,
Thank you

ECS

there are statistics on the immigration website of the number of visas granted to different passport holders. They only show approvals, they don't specify what type of work visa, and the page is only in Norwegian, but you can see that the number of work visas granted to Iranian passport holders has gone up over the past three years.

that doesn't really tell you much about what YOUR chances will be though, and the same advice goes as usually is posted here: don't move to Norway expecting to find a job- get the job first. Living here without work is very difficult and for many nationalities, very quickly illegal if you don't have a visa. If your skills are in demand, it IS possible to find work from abroad (yes, I do know people who succeeded).
