Off-season rates for hotels

Hello friends,

I am in Mauritius since now close to 2 months now and was given to understand that July-August are generally the off-season months for tourism industry, and hence, u may get some good deals in hotels especially during this time... It's said to be a good time to take a Friday off from office and spend the extended weekend in some beach-side hotel (preferably with half board)....relaxing and rejuvenating yourself with ur spouse/ family...

I was looking for some deals in this regard (esp August-end) but didn't find them so lucrative expect a 5-10% discount (which isn't that substantial)... any leads in this regard is appreciated...

There is a family offer for locals & residents for Sun Resorts: Touessrok, Long Beach, Sugar Beach & La Pirogue. I'm sure there are more offers. If I will see something, I will write.

Also if you get in touch with some of the resorts and ask for their current offer for residents they usually get back to you.

I strongly recommend MariDeal.mu which is an online hotel booking website with exclusive hotel offers for Mauritians and Residents... i booked an amazing deal with them last week at Le Meridien and ended up paying less then if a went directly through the hotel.
