Hi I am looking for an enthusiastic char twice a week in HCMC ...Thao Dien.......a young lady

DanFromSF

What's a char?

Panadol

I have no idea what an 'enthusiastic Char' is.... But, put me down for one, twice a week too, please. *Cough* :idontagree:

alanzet

Hi a cleaner 3 times a week

Panadol

The term 'char' has the same roots as "chore woman", someone employed to do odd chores around the house.

Others call them cleaners or maids although the OP in demanding 'a young lady' might have other 'chores' in mind.

Panadol

Well, as it turns out.... I already had an 'Enthusiastic(Nosey) Char' and didn't know it... Not a day goes by, without me learning something!!
So, I'll pass on another Char.
Good luck finding a good one.......

Oh man!
I was hoping a 'char' twice a week was an offer for BBQ!

More important someone who is honest, reliable and does the job well than how young or pretty they are, don't you think?

Many expats get their homes cleaned out of things they didn't intend to simply because they hired the wrong person for the job or had the wrong requirements.

Yuli_nguyen

The people will need cleaner can do good job & honest. What you need...just young lady... :/

charmavietnam

You don't mean there is some hidden agenda, do you?

I assume you are implying theft. Generalisations like that are unfair to the mostly honest types. Obviously recommendations are preferred

I have used cleaners for over two decades and have never had a theft - and I leave big sums of foreign currency around. Once I threw a defective CD player away in a garbage can - and lo and behold, I found the damn thing in it's usual drawer.

Turns out my cleaner thought it had accidentally fallen in to the garbage.

My cleaner also does my Cho marketing, I have never detected any dishonesty.

You got it. The minority spoils the majority.
And by the way, nothing is stolen in Asia.
It's merely 'lost'.
Now here's something I hope we all like--

Dad had the 600 and once it was sorted,it went like a dream. A dream.

Yeah, I get it.... My awesome cleaning lady, comes here to clean every Monday @8am.... She orders me out of the house... She tells me to go outside and drink coffee for 2 hours.... So she can do her work.
This lady is great, fastidious, she is 43-45yo, Not a"young Lady", she even sorts my rubbish into re-cycle, and non re-cycle waste(F*** how cool is that!)..... Sometimes it's kind of funny, I am a single guy, doing my own thing here in VN, and she throws my bed sheets/linen in the washing machine, and tells me(Yells at me) I had a lady/girlfriend here this week(She has cleaned my house for over 3 years now)... She is cool, I love her/hate her. She tells me, I'm a lazy bastard(yes I am). But, we have a bond, a great love/hate relationship..... Sometimes my "Char"(house cleaner) is abusive, and angry, but sometimes, she brings me fruit, or choco pies, on Monday morning..... Yeah, I guess I do love her...... I would never want, a "young one"... F*** that....
I am retired/Australian/fat/lazy.... etc...... I could afford to stay in AU, for years, but no bastard cleaning lady, in AU, would ever bring me some fresh fruit, Choco-pies/, Kit Kat/a wagon wheel/Choo Choo bar, and/or genuinely, care for me...... Period!!
For the past 3+ years, this mature lady has been my 'Rock', A true friend.
We have a bond... Yeah, I love my 'Char'...................

Yes, I was implying theft, but not to infer in any way that all cleaning ladies are dishonest, but rather to point out that the OP was either looking for someone to polish something other than his coffee table, or that he's got his priorities all screwed up.

An old and not so pretty woman can clean house just as well as a young good looking hottie, I'm sure that you won't argue with that line of thinking.

Hi every body,

I read Panadol's message.

I love him for his openness and honesty, probably for the first time in my life enjoyed and appreciated the abusive content, I pictured the whole scene, I wish some one would depict the essences and make a classic movie!

Wish you wonderful time there!

Why would you buy a motorbike here in VN, that will never get out of 3rd gear?????
Sounds like.... "Big motorbike, small penis syndrome"...... This post was about getting a new house cleaner????? WTF?

You enjoy, your big motorbike, (you'll last a month).... please don't kill anyone/a family, with you.
Cheers idiot.

Is this familiar?

From July 29th 2014-
""Re: Marital ransom..... Is it normal in VN?
Errr, Correct.......
Besides all that...I hope she gets a Can-Am Spyder....  I'd love one of those over here!... (But, the poor bastard Spyder, would never get out of 3rd gear, in VN), and, I hope she sells the diamond earrings, to buy a decent Shoei helmet. (Good Lord, this country needs them!)...
Marital ransom..... Pfft...... New Tourist, grow a brain!!!!""

Hello alanzet,

If you are still looking to recruit a cleaner, i will advise you to post an ad in the Housemaid jobs in Ho Chi Minh City section. It is in fact the most appropriate section for your ad.

Thanks

Priscilla
