Hi! We really enjoyed our meal at TGIFridays, and for Pizza, the Pizza Company on American Alley in Juffair. They had pasta dishes and absolutely awesome garlic cheese bread.

We've recently been to the Movenpick (near the airport).  To celebrate their 10th anniversary (link here), their Friday evening buffet is 10BHD (food only).  We thought that the food was very nice!

We also visited the Gulf Hotel for it's Iftar buffet (nearly a month ago now!) and that too was very nice but more expensive, though selected soft drinks were included!

We've enjoyed Tony Roma's in Isa Town though they aren't licensed.

HTH and I'm sure others will be along soon with their ideas.

Omeath - you should try the different restaurants at the Royal Golf Club. The Italian restaurant is called "Prego" and serves good food. The other restaurant there is called "Links". Both are good family venues. They also serve "beverages".

Another restaurant for good italian fare is called "Gusto". They have two outlets, one in Budaiya area and the other near Riffa Views International School. Only one word to describe their food - WOW!

There is also a nice Italian restaurant down Shabab Avenue (aka American Alley) in Juffair. I forget their name, but you cant miss it. Its a large place down that road.

Enjoy!

Gulf Hotel have a different dinner buffet at Al Waha every night. International, Seafood, Grill Night, etc. Also they have several well known resturants. Italian, Chinese, Tai, Persian, Lebanese, Mexican, and Japanese.

Check out Block 338 at Adliya for very nice restaurants too.
