Currency Exchange around Dammam/Dhahran area

I've joined Saudi Aramco and will be relocating in about a month. I'll bring enough USD's to get me through a few months.  Are there plenty of currency exchange places in the area? I know there is an exchange in the airport (typically most expensive option), there is a bank on the compound but they're a bit strict and mainly require you to open a bank account (something I cannot do until I receive an Iqama, so this option may not be work)...

So anyways, any suggestions on where I can get the best rates on currency exchange?

Ask for an advance on your salary...no matter the exchange rate, you'll lose out

You simply take a cab to Seiko area (main road) at the traffic light next to where most people catch a taxi to Khobar you will find a bureau on your left. I guess there is much of them in Khobar as well.

Thank you. Do I simply tell the taxi driver to take me to the currency exchange in Seiko district or is there a certain name for them?

Also, the map helped a lot determining how far it would be from my residence. Thank you.

Also, am I correct to say the exchange at the Dammam airport will be worse off than local exchange centers in Seiko?
