Hi All,

I'm due to move over to Saudi in a few weeks. I was just wondering what clothes to bring.  I'm unsure if theirs any point in bringing any dressy clothing etc?

What did other women take over?

Thanks

rareshine

You may bring dressier clothing in case you're invited to a gathering. You should bring comfy clothing for after work chilling at home.

Which city will you work in?

I think you don't need much as when you are going out , you have to wear abaya so what is the use of wearing designer dresses below abaya whihc no one could see :P

That's what I was thinking.
I just wasn't sure what to wear user Neath haha!

Which Witch

Under Abaya or at home you can wear anything you like, due to the heat - the less, the better.
For work - uniform or at least company dress code.
For western style gatherings - casual comfty clothing.
For arab style gatherings - dressy clothing, the more open, the better.

I brought lots of clothing. I wasn't sure whether that was a good idea or not, but because of the ubiquitous abaya, many ladies WANT to dress to the nines when they don't have to wear it. The girls in my school have issues conforming to the dress code, wearing all sorts of subversive things. I have always liked having a versitile wardrobe, so I see no reason to deny myself one in the Magical Kingdom, where it matters all the more.
