Anyone need driving from Malta to UK?

Post new topic

Hiya,

I'm exploring the option of driving my car to UK rather than ship it - if I go ahead with it, I'll be leaving Malta on December 9 and will aim to be back in Britain by the end of that week.
Would anyone be interested in joining me and splitting the driving? PM me if so.

Thanks,
Natalie

I can imagine you're leaving Malta for good or for an extended period.

This isn't going to be an easy, cheap nor quick solution. With ferry crossings, tolls for roads bridges and tunnels, petrol, fuel, overnight stay, food & drink consumed en route, I would expect total topping €1000 mark.
Expect snow in Italy, France and Switzerland (winter tyres, tyre chains, antifreeze and winter service) as well as warm clothing and blankets in case of emergency.
If your route is via Switzerland, need an annual vignette to use Swiss motorways (€33.00).

Please don't drive alone whatever you do.

Best of luck and be safe :)

I am contemplating doing the same.  Can you say how your experience was?

I sold the car in Malta and flew back in the end!
