How can you expect to get loaded friends when you just sign up? As a gift by joining?  How do you think it will works?

Like Stumpy suggested, a nice introduction about yourself, participating on several forums is the key to get the members know you. Before you know, your social network is expended. But YOU need to do the work, not the others.
So invite, give some suggestions for activities an be visible!

You perhaps need to start some new posts on different topics. 

This forum is not a chat line but is an exchange of information, ideas and advice between members on a variety of topics.
