I want to know that is there any requirement of minimum years of experience to get stamped engineer designation on CPR.
Please tell me what are the documentation needed to change the CPR designation.

Your HR will be the one to answer this question as they will proceed with the paperwork on behalf of you.

While asking i am getting a reply like total 5 years of experience is required to process the same. So i want to know about the rules of bahrain ministry, also am looking some link that can explain this particular documentations.
Thank you for your kind reply.

as brightonguy pointed out your HR / PRO is the right point of contact for this issue, unfortunately i dont see any online document/FAQ pertaining to the same.

I am sure if anyone else on the forum has inputs regarding the same they would respond

There is no such service requirement for getting the designation on your CPR. As long as you have the necessary certification and qualification for a certain profession, the CPR can be obtained with that profession.

The real issue here is this: Your employer has been allocated a certain number of visas and certain designations. What such employers do is to somehow manage with the allocated number of visas and professions instead of making an effort to get it changed.

The 5 year experience story is just an excuse. If this were true, then medical doctors with less than 5 years of experience would get their CPR cards as "Blood Pressure Checkers"!

However, if this is what your employer has told you, then the real message from them to you is this: "We will not do anything to get your profession changed on your CPR. Just wait for 5 years and then we will see".

Tough luck, but these things happen a lot here. I know an electrician, whose profession on his CPR read :"Shepherd"!

You can speak to them and see if they will oblige. Tell them that it is important to have the correct profession especially if you need to travel in the region and qualify for visa on arrival. Also having the proper profession will be important when you need certain types of banking services and loans.

Good luck!

changing profession on cpr+visa is very easy
simply your employer need  to login LMRA's system  , then there is one option called change occupation something , then select engineer and pay 10bhd
thats it . dont forget to get your self register  with "Bahrain society of engineers"
