Hi my name is Rob, I am 38 years old and I am looking to move to Malta in the very near future, I am a Machine Operator and have been for about 15 years, before that I was a security supervisor in the uk and would appreciate any information mainly about work but also housing as well.
                                 Many thanks Rob W

Welcome. There is a huge amount of information already on here. I suggest you read the many articles and then come back with specific questions.

If Machine Operator means working with CNC machines or similar, I have bad news Rob:

There is very little manufacturing here, so it is next to impossible to find work.

Probably easier to look for security work but some certification is required. Plenty of sites online advertising or offering courses. I would imagine though that some knowledge of Maltese language would be required or useful.

Thanks for your reply very useful, I am learning the language quite slowly but would like very much to speed it up a little. I am also thinking of a different trade and would be grateful of any further advise. I am looking at the etc training courses.
                  Once again Thank you

I can offer only generic and general advice as I am not employed. Sorry but I am sure others can.
