Well, depends. Coming from Nairobi they aren't as modern or styled as they are back home; and I'm guessing Nairobi and Cape Town are pretty similar from my short visit at CT.
All in all, people party somewhat strictly on Saturday and Friday (as opposed to every night day apart from Monday where I come from 
). Once in a while they have themed nights. After going to several clubs its more of dress up if you want to, get in, get drunk, party, dance then go home (yes, some clubs close and everyone gets out).
Fun! but can get old and monotonous pretty fast if you don't know people.
