Imported my car to Malta....am I missing something?

Post new topic

Good afternoon,

Have any Maltese(Has a procession of a Maltese  ID card)here imported a car from the Uk please? I called ADT to see what documents I need....the Maltese insurance mentioned I need to do a JEVIC certificate.

I never heard of this before? I was never told by ADT about this when I had contacted them...when I read online about JEVIC it says the car had to be inspected in the uk before I cam to Malta.

How do I go about this please? Do I actually need this?

Would really appreciate some help.

Kind regards

Not sure why you want someone with  a Maltese ID to comment as the rules for importing a car to Malta are clear.

The car will need to have a certificate from JVEC confirming the mileage.

This link gives you all the information you require including the JVEC contact details.

Yes ypu do have to complete this but you can also fillin the for, online. It costs about £35 to do it but the car does not need to be present. They will need some details from  you car when you fill in the form. Its returned to you digitally.
