Current weather conditions around our Island.

Oh yeah, we are down to from 15 min. - 45min.
of town water every morning.

We had heavy rain and wind for a good couple of hours this morning then light rain, and still light rain.

We have dark clouds coming in from the SE, as normal!
No thunder.

Wow I am so jealous.  We have had basically NO rain in over a month.  We did have 90 seconds of a brief light shower this morning.  Skies are cloudy and maybe more on the way????

Well we did get a wee bit.  Probably about 0.1 inches this afternoon, lots of wind however very little rain.

Ok back to sun and HOT.  Yesterday's showers were nice, especially as it kept the heat down, but did not do much for us as far as water.  It was like peeing in the ocean to try and raise the water level.  It hardly got the ground wet.  Maybe some more rain later in the week...fingers crossed.

WE are also back to hot and sunny.....

Well, we had maybe an inch, (2.5cm) early am on
Monday, which put our internet out, as usual, for 30 hours.
Back to sunny & hot today.
We need lots more rain.

WE are overcast again today,  looks and feels like some rain on the way.

Well, after reading the Weather Network's forecast yesterday morning,
saying zero chance of rain for the next 3 days (for Cabrera), I wasn't happy.
Well, around 11pm it rained pretty good for a while.
It started showers around 3am, & continued until around 9am today.
Now I've got a problem, they are calling for 80-90 percent
thunderstorms ALL next week???
Who knows?
Anyway, it was a good start.

We started with clouds and rain overnight including thunder and lightening. We had some rain, heavy at times this morning and its looking mighty black out there. I expect even more rain later on today.

Still no real rain here.  However clouds are building and thunder in the air.  The gardens are doing their rain dance.  However it may all be for naught as the weather underground, which is notorious for being wrong about 95 % of the time, have now posted thunderstorms and 1.69 inches of rain....So the kiss of death.  Probably no rain at all, but standing here with hopeful eyes on the sky

Hahahah we are needing our here, pouring rain at the moment.  Now Imagine this with two  13 week old rottweiler puppies who love love love MUD!!!!  We are having fun.....

After all the build up, as of 6:30 am,  here on the hill we had ABSOLUTLEY ZERO rain. Not a drop, not a hint of a drop.  Until next time....

Wow we had some rain overnight and we are overcast and a bit "chilly" this morning.  Not raining at the moment but looks like it will. Great day to lay "sod" at the house.....

Nada, not a drop overnight.  Please post a picture of a green lawn I have not seen that since January or so. Sunny and blazing hot here now.

Ok the weather underground and it's forecasts should really be produced in comic book form.  If you click on Puerto Plata now it shows currently cloudy conditions and that "thunderstorms will continue for the next several hours"

Well the skies are mostly sunny with some clouds around.  AND for thunderstorms to "continue" for several hours would they not need to be currently occurring??????

Still not a drop of rain but I am smiling the weather underground's current forecast.
