Hi,

When settling in Angola, one of the priorities is to be able to make phone calls.

How to proceed to get a landline installed in Angola?

What are the mobile operators?

What is your average monthly budget?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Maximilien

Hi
There are two mobile companies, name Unitel and Movicel. You can buy a SIM card and top up then it can be used easily. There are different packages available from the above mentioned companies. They offer roaming services as well. They also offer internet. I am using internet from another ISP which Netone and the speed and package is better than the above mentioned two companies. Depending on the usage but 100$ will be enough for local calls and Netone is offering 6GB inter at a cost of 7200 AK (30-40$). The validity of this package is for two months.
Angola Telecom is offering wireless phone. Landline is rarely used and not very much reliable.

Hi,

There are two major network operators, Unitel and Movicel.

Movicel has far better rates than Unitel but less Network Coverage.

If you need to call oversees Movicel offers lowest international rate (please visit the nearest dealer)

I use What's up and Viber when signal is strong.

Hope that helps

Thanks
