Hi,

When settling in Argentina, one of the priorities is to be able to make phone calls.

How to proceed to get a landline installed in Argentina?

What are the mobile operators?

What is your average monthly budget?

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience,

Maximilien

I have a cell phone AND a landline -- but the cheapest alternative to both of them is Skype, where calls are two cents a minute within Argentina.  I only got the landline because it was a package with the internet.  The cell phone is essential but mostly for WhatsApp which runs off the internet.  What the companies do, however, is offer a service that searches for internet connections as you move about -- and it really eats up your minutes.  Turn this off until you need to find an internet connection, then turn it off!

We took vonage from the US.  All we needed was an internet connection.

Easy way mate. Just go to an Telefonica office or call them at 0800 number and you can be connected in 2 weeks time.
I'm using Telefonica and my average pay is around 500 ars.
You have the cellphone operators option too.
Depends on your needs there are plans availables to suit you.
