Do you know how is campusFrance?
Related to visa , is it true that you have to pay 6000 euros or more to prove that you can study in France and then the embassy can give you the student's visa?

Hi There

I am originally from South Africa. I had a near similar encounter with Campus France where i had been asked to pay atleast 50% of my student fees prior to obtaining a letter from them....Well, i did not understand why they would want that much of payment when in the meantime all the school wanted was a 30 euros enrollment fee (non refundable) to obtain an enrollment letter for purpose of visa application. I challenged them on that basis and they agreed to provide me a letter..

The one thing i would advice is that you must have enough amount in your bank account to substantiate that you will be able to afford to live in a foreign land. For France i think its 615 euros per month for the duration of your stay. I hope this helps...
