Earthquakes and fault lines in the Philippines

Post new topic

TeeJay4103

A while back another poster asked how I knew whether or not the land under which I live has fault lines. My answer is definitively, I do not know for sure. But what I do know is that the following link was compiled through extensive research on behalf of a lot of people and made available to us to use. In our case it was used in helping to determine an area in which to build our home. Is it now earthquake proof? Of course not, but it is simply one more tool to use when choosing an area in which to build or live. Common sense and good construction also help when building a home.
The link takes you to the site, pick your area and click on the orange colored page numbers and a pdf file will load.

Hope this is of some help to anyone interested in the locations of fault lines.
