5 year visa exemption

Has anyone had their 5 year exemption stamped for 6 months instead of the usual 3 months. I came back through the Moc Bai crossing yesterday and they stamped it for 6 months.

It was at the Moc Bai border crossing, there is no charge when re-entering Viet Nam. I was wondering if it was a mistake or if they have actually decided to start doing this as reported.

There has never been a cost when you enter back into Viet Nam, but this time its a 6 month stamp instead of 3 months, is that what immigration told you.
