Moved to NZ on a working holiday

Post new topic

FredHarrington

Hi everyone,

I've just moved to NZ on a working holiday! I'm hoping it can become permanent though.

However, i'm finding it difficult to get work - i'm not sure if it's down to my CV or something else.

Any advice?

If you have a working holiday visa you may not be able to change it to another visa type.
Have you tried a Google search for fruit picking or farm work ??

Hi Fred!

Unfortunately most companies won't look at you because you're on a WHV (speaking from experience) and the only thing you would be considered for is temp work or something on a fixed term contract. They tend to view you as someone that could potentially be booted out of the country in a year so are reluctant to view your application.

Hope you are enjoying NZ so far!
