Advice on if I should bring snow skis from USA to Turkey.

Anyone who has knowledge about bringing winter sports gear into Turkey, please advise me on this.
I have two pair of skis and boots that I was thinking of taking with me to Antalya. Downhill and back country. They are fairly new and expensive. In your opinion, is it worthwhile to take them with me...or sell them here in Bend,USA and buy new ones in Turkey? The extra cost of taking them with me will be over $100.
Not sure if they will be taxed when arriving in Turkey. Thanks again for your input.
Everybody, have a great week,
Leif

Hi Lief,

Turkey has absurdly high tax rates.

I enjoy photography, but I always buy my equipment from abroad. A Eur2000 lens would cost you anywhere between Eur2500-2700 in Turkey... .

You can do a price comparison in Turkey and eventually if selling equipment in Bend and buying new ones here in Turkey is better than spending a 100 bucks, then sure.. But i think you may be better off spending that 100.

I hope this is helpful!
