Hello ymme2015,

It is possible to get married while on a tourist visa. Depending on where you're from you'll need certain forms from your country that show you're allowed to get married. You can look here for more information (I assume your fiancé is Norwegian):

I hope this helps.

Hi TMilimo,

Thanks for the info. My fiance is Norweigian and if ever we get married is it possible that i can apply for family reunification here and i can stay longer or i have to go back home?

TMilimo

Yes it is possible. That's almost exactly what I did. I applied for a Fiancé permit in August 2015. I was allowed to stay in Norway while we waited for the application to process because I am a skilled worker, however each case is different and I would suggest you call UDI and explain your details so they can give you a personalized answer :) Then in January 2016 we got married and I sent in a copy of the marriage certificate to UDI. Then today I phoned UDI to officially change my fiancé permit into a spouse permit because we are now married.
