Can anyone tell me if it is possible to get a bank account in Accra as I do not yet have a residents permits?

I didn't have a resident's permit when I opened my account but I am married to a Ghanaian and was in the process of applying for one.
I think you might have problems if you don't have a permit. How long are you entitled to stay here?
You might be able to make arrangements to have money paid into a bank here from overseas. Try Barclays as they have branches in England.

it is not all the bank in ghana which ask about resident permit
i'm a ivorian living here in ghana in i have opened my account without any resident permit.

you could just go to Amalbank and get one. they give u a list of things they need and once u have them, you are ready to go. no problems. without a residence permit they will not let you have a savings account though.
