Newie to Cyprus and this forum

Hi All

My name is Valerie and now I have officially retired I will be moving to Cyprus on a permanent basis in a couple of weeks.

I have bought a place in Peyia (near where all the bananas grow).

I am single and only know a handful of people in Cyprus and I am hoping that this forum will help me change all that.

There are a few places to go and meet people so dont worry too much about that side of things am sure you will be made welcome and meet lots of lovely folk - many will help you get thru the early rigours of settling in to your new home and country

I am 26 years old and thinking about moving to Cyprus me and my parents have been holidaying here for 20 years. I fancy moving to paralmni near protaras but am just worried just incase I can't find a job. We're is Peyia in Cyprus I've never heard of it .

Google tells me it's out on the western side of Cyrprus.

Peyia (Pegeia) is in the west of the island Paphos district and is mainly a tourist area with a smattering of big business... Work depends on what you are lookig for but the majority of opportunities here are tourism related and as such tends to be seasonal
