i tried to do a route plan in google maps but it didn't want to play is there a route planner that i can use for saudi befor i get there just so i have an idea of the county layout and where/how far everything is.

also the sat nav i have is a nav man and i can't seem to find any saudi maps for it i hear they are easy to come by out there but how much am i looking at for one?

i don't know much about "nav man" GPS systems, but there are a lot of places from where you can download middle-east maps for your GPS device for free. some GPs units don't accept older/newer maps.

My Garmin 2610 is running on 2008 maps but it won't accept the newer versions and i might be forced to buy a new one bcos of this !!!

using a paper map is much better option for your purpose, untill the part where you actually want the map to "route" you.
