Work in France

Hi,
So I'm 18 and speak what I would call "intermediate" french, but definitely far from fluent!
I'm thinking of going to France in April with the aim of improving my french and finding a job.

I was wondering whether I would be more likely to find a job in Paris or a smaller city such as Montpellier or Nice. Obviously a lot depends on luck and such, and there is not a clear answer but what is your general impression? Where is English more valued? Where is there the most competition for jobs?

Thanks for any ideas,

Julien

Hi,

it will probably be easier in Paris ... but nicer in the south ;)

I used to live in Montpellier it is a very nice city (it can be quite tough to find THE job there but life there is wonderful)

I agree with Julien.  It's best to not be in Paris if you want to speak French.  Too many internationals here! Jobs ar easier to find but the there is a big city rat race here.

Hmm,
I think I'll go with Nice then and hope for the best,
Thanks for your advice!
