Family research in Budapest

Post new topic

Fredric

Hi
My name is Fred and I live in Asheville NC USA  I am looking for someone in Budapest that might be able to help do some family research for me.  My grandparents lived there in the late 1800's before they moved to Viena and then to US in1910

In the past I also did some research on my family (British) and my wife (Hungarian) extensively researched hers. Technically, it was quite a job. She put everything in a computerised system called Family Tree Maker. When she ran out of steam, I think she uploaded it  all to the Mormon database in Utah.

Maybe you should tell us the names of the people as perhaps we can guess where they come from by their names. Long shot, I know but there plenty of brains joining in here who could contribute.

How are your language skills? Hungarian? German?
