I'm in Mauritius for the next two months and am keen to find someone to do a kite surfing course with and explore some of the hiking trails and dive sites. And maybe catch a wave with!

Any takers?

Also, does anyone have any advice on the best kite surfing course? I had a look at a few of the companies in the south-west today but it is hard to know what to look for in a sport you have never tried before - they all look good!

Le Morne is the best place to learn. No experience with the kite schools, but I am sure they are pretty competent. ENJOY!

as keno said..Le Morne is the place for kite surfing...there are many ppl on the beach itslf whome u can approach to get the rates and services offered.
u can spot em by their vans parked on the beach with kiteboarding kits laid around...
try one with NORTH logo ..they were just on the entrance of the beach..they looked bettr than the others..i think

Also thers a surf school there too..so u can rent boards from there.
thought u can try Tamarin beach too...u get good waves there as per the locals.

Hi Monique!

I practice in kiteboarding since 2002 and Mauritius one of the best place in the world for kite!
It's not difficult to learn how to ride. The best place for kite here is Le Morne
