Or quite honestly, just use ordinary water. Your stomach has very very strong acid within it naturally as it is essential for digestion. You would need to drink a lot of "alkaline water" to have an effect on the pH of your stomach contents. The only times it is a problem is when you get a reflux, i.e. some of it squeezes through the very strong valve at the top and enters the oesophagus causing the condition known as heart burn. Or if the lining of your stomach becomes damaged, in that case it would be best to consult a doctor. When the stomach contents move slowly into the next part of the digestive system, the acids are neutralised and made the correct pH for the rest of the digestive tract. By now, your water will have had its pH changed by the stomach. Your blood contains mechanisms which buffer the pH of your blood - quite independantly of the pH of water you may have drunk. So forget the mumbo jumbo, save the sodium bicarbonate for when you suffer reflux or indigestion and stop worrying

I know of place they sell Alkaline Water it's in Balibago/Angeles i think it's across from Moons bar they only sell Alkaline . Don't try baking soda you might end up in the hospital making yourself worst. I will get their number for you.

They review the claims that sellers arn't legally allowed to make about alkaline water then report on the recent study "Reduction in cardiovascular risk by sodium bicarbonated mineral water in moderatly hypercholesterolemic young adults" reported in the "Journal of Nutrional Biochemistry".

And it turns out there were some benifits in lowering cholesterol as well as lowering blood sugars. And as stated earlier its great for acid reflux.

The formula is 3/4 of a teaspoon per liter if you want to be scientific. Its great for inflammation also. And sodium bicarbonate is not the same as sodium chloride so you might actually get a slight drop in blood pressure as some in the study did.

By the way the scientific name for the water used in the scientific study is Sodium-bicarbonated mineral water (alkaline water).
