Cash through airport

Post new topic

Hello friends,
I will be going to the Phillipines in Feb 2018. I need to know how much cash can I carry through the airport?

I've never had an issue with bringing cash in.  Although, if you are concerned, you can send it to your self via WU, RIA or any of the other companies that transfer money.   I did this when I first start out.

Thank you chuck

Bringing cash into the Philippines, you allowed to bring no more than $10,000us dollars or the equivalent in any other currency.

Than you for replying. Would they check if I brought in more?

I've never had the need to bring in anywhere that amount so can't speak from experience. Although most laws are loosely enforced in this country, in todays world, governments are checking closer on most everything - including the Philippines. It's simply best to stay within the law so no chance of legal troubles and no regrets. I'd suggest what others have here and that is send at least part of it to yourself via Western Union etc and just pick up here as needed.

Regards
