How to survive the first three months in Bahrain?

Dear all,

I am planning to relocate to Bahrain in a few moths time, and doing some research on finances, housing and mobility.
For most services, you need to show a 3 months salary slip.
Does this mean that in the first three months, you can't open a bank account, rent an apartment or by a car?

Many thanks for your support!

Hello,

You should be able to en-cash cheques, get a sim card and rent a vehicle using your passport, just explain them the situation and i am sure there will be a way around.

Good luck

Hi,

The country has such a large percentage of expats that what you are doing is not new, in fact a lot of people find themselves in the same situation.

It would be difficult if you want to take loans etc. or purchasing a car, but as soon as you have your CPR it is easy enough. Most companies will assist you with your position. Get used to dealing in cash for a couple of months!
