Welcome to the Colombia and Medellín forums.

If you want to go on a tour of for-sale properties as a serious buyer on your first trip to Medellín, you are moving too fast.

Come visit the city and start learning about the sectors.  Don't consider a purchase until you have rented in the target area for a year. 

Accommodations?  Probably depends on length of stay and your budget.   airbnb.com has short-term, furnished rentals without need of a guarantor.

I have spent a total of six months visiting Medellín since June of last year .. and haven't noticed any month-to-month differences to speak of during my visits.

Check climate-and-weather.com or other weather sites if the historical amount of rain month by month would be an issue for you.  Temperatures vary little from month to month in years not affected by the El Niño phenomenon.  For instance, the first seven months of last year was during El Niño .. and my first visit featured unusually high heat, around 90 F. in the daytime on some days.

The big holidays are Christmas and Easter aka Pascua when some locals tend to visit family back home and some places of business are closed.
