Looking for a 2 BR Appartement for 6 Month

Hello expat.com members

My girlfriend and her colleauge (both cambodian) are starting their 6 month internship in Siem Reap this month. So we are looking for an affordable 2BR Appartement to rent for 6 month. I checked allready many realestate Webpages and i startet looking here on expat.com. But so far no success.

In Europe it is allways better to find an Appartement before they are published on the Internet, asking friends and colleagues. But I have no idea/experience about the market in Cambodia.

My gf care and take care about the apartement, we could pay the rental fee for the 6 month in advance, so the tenant has not to worry about getting the rent each month. But it seems to me, that the tenants prefere to leave the appartement empty instead of offering a slightly discount for the full 6 month fee in advance.

Any advise/Feedback is welcome
