Philippines to Malaysia

Post new topic

Durian-sensei

I plan to move in Malaysia this December.
I've been interested in Islam for a long time.and I finally have the courage to do so.
It's gonna be my first time abroad and I have a friend and her family willing to let me stay in their home while I try to work on stuffs. And I am a licensed teacher and some skills so I can look for a job.
My question is:
1. What kind of visa do I need?
2. Will they allow me to bring documents such as transcripts, diploma and birth certificate (more) ?
3. How to best approach this? By being a tourist first or asking them that I wanna move permanently.
4. If there's any info on how to handle my situation to get past the immigration I'd appreciate it.
Thank you so much.

Are you a filipina?

I think people from the Philippines can enter for 30 days or get an advance tourist visa for a longer period with a sponsor in Malaysia.

Fairview International School has an interesting recruitment strategy you may want to look up on the internet. There are also jobs at some pre-school centres for Filipina (KL Kids Club is one). Otherwise, your timing is not good to find work in schools because of the term structures. Check on jobstreet for any vacancies.

To live in Malaysia you would need some sort of employment pass and coming from the Philippines you would probably be offered a Foreign Worker Pass, valid for a year and renewable.
