Hi all,

I would like to open a property agency shop in HCMC , can I know if any agency license I have to obtain for the shop and myself as a broker ?

Thanks

You mean you want to open a physical shop selling houses. Do you know anything about VN real estate, it's full of devious people.

One of the OP's greatest problems, if the estate agents who try to spam the forum's Vietnam section are anything to go on, is the underhand, nasty, lying, cheating items they'll be competing with for trade.
After that, would it be legally possible for an expat to open such a business?

Definitely not.
I don't think VN has any  shortage of skilled brokers.  ;)

That's this thread killed, but I do wonder how you define "skilled". :D

Do I still have to define "skilled"??   :D
We have them all in different avatars on this forum.
More than willing to be your "friend in need"   if you've just landed in VN ... or you're still planning your move.  :D

Estate agents in Vietnam are like cockroaches. Too many and everywhere.

Hi Fred,

I reported one "John Berry" recently for probable spam on one of the threads. Since then he has tried to become a contact. I said no thanks and he responded with  : "It's ok. Matt When you want to have a place, contact to me, I will help you honestly and swiftly. Nice to talk to you. Have a good day. matt"

So he is now blocked. If other people are pestered by him my advice is / her / it just block him / her / it.

On another matter, You recently mentioned flails to me and I'd like to send you some pics, whats the best way?

eodmatt

And "John Berry" has just given me a "like" for my post above.

The phrase "lick my love pump" springs to mind.

And yet another one asks to be a contact: lethikieutrang

Again a property seller.

That's what you get for letting us know that you once made 30K in a single month even if it was decades ago.  They smelled the blood in the water.

Ahem.  Are you trying to imply that women are "leisurely" people whose life purpose can be compared to rodents?  Them's fightin' words!   :dumbom:

I received a contact request from this unusually named Asian man. I read that he was a property agent, and said "bye bye."

Correction. I still make 30k a month if I work.. Unfortunately for the house agents, my wife handles our property purchases

I don't even run to such luxuries on my own account, as I said before the work is intermittent and I am also very selective about the jobs I do and who I work for.

So the in the end I prolly earn the same as the average bloke. What it does mean though is that I have a lot more time to spend with my wife and in my own home.

I should also say that the places I work are some of the crappiest places on earth, not to mention dangerous.

So fold away your mis-placed envy and be thankful for what you have.

No envy, just making a light hearted comment, which seems to have hit a nerve.

Don't mistake our brotherly support for envy.   :top:  Just watch out for the vultures.

Homophobia and sexism are unwelcome on this forum, as are insults, flaming, and estate agents trying to spam the PM system or put ads on the open forums.

Please report any of the above so they can be removed from the forum as quickly as possible.
