Carta Di Soggiorno Help

Post new topic

Hello! This is a bit of a long question. Basically, I have just moved back to Milan and got married to an Italian. I am waiting for my carta di soggiorno appointment that I made on CupaProject. I've been coming in and out of Italy this past year from the USA, and I'm not sure where I stand on my tourist visa (I may or may not have exhausted my 90 days). With the CupaProject receipt (proof of appointment), can I leave Italy and go to another EU country?

Thanks!!

I’m sure by now you probably have your Carta di Soggiorno already, but no - you cannot leave italy on just the receipt. Your are allowed to stay even though the visa expires, but once you leave the borders, you will be expected to enter on a new visa. We were told to stay put until the Carta.
