Post new topic

I am.married to.bahraini for 17 yrs. Till we decided to get divorced due of so many irreconcilable differences. We have 3 kids. 18, 9 and 6 yrs. Of age. I worked outside bahrain for 2 yrs. And now i came back bahrain because of my kids and my ex approval. Im on visitors visa.. and wants to stay in bahrain and find job. Im.planning to.apply for a bahraini citizenshipso i can stay here longer with my.kids and never have a problem on having visa renew. Is it possible for me to get bahraini passport even i am divorced to my bahraini husband?

The process is detailed here:

However, you are no longer married and don't have a residence permit.  I don't think there is a chance of citizenship for you (kids might be a different case) on basis of marriage but you can try.  Alternatively, you can try for citizenship due to your long stay in Bahrain but you need to speak some Arabic and it might take decades with no guarantee of positive outcome.
