specific or general suggestions regarding apartment rentals?

I'm new to expat.com, and want to find a two-month rental in Cuenca (July and August), ideally within walking distance of both the University of Cuenca and the CEDEI (Center for InterAmerican Studies: www.english.cedei.org), where I'm expecting to do a little volunteer teaching at both places. If it all works out this summer there's a good chance of living in Cuenca permanently beginning next year. Does anyone have either specific or general suggestions regarding apartment rentals? ¡Muchas gracias a todo!

You can try the apartment listings on Expat.com or try AirBnB. I've used them before and the apartments (at least in Quito) are varied to suit many tastes, and most of all hassle free.
